A couple very key points to our background guidelines…
  • We consider Timeframe since completing sentence/probation/parole, not when the crime occurred so for example: a Felony Assault crime committed in 2012, with probation ending in 2017 would be a decline – because it has been 5 years
  • Falsification of Application, specifically the conviction question and then the background check shows otherwise, will result in a not meeting requirements therefore we do not want to hire those individuals with these EXCEPTIONS:
    • Consideration of HIRE with a falsification of MISDEMEANOR conviction outside of guidelines/timelines noted above and significance of crime and number of (ex: crimes against people or theft), Send background check to Jen Reiner for Review
    • Consideration of HIRE with a falsification of DWI MISDEMEANOR conviction ), Send background check to Jen Reiner for Review
    • Consideration of HIRE with a falsification of FELONY conviction outside of 20+ years and significance of crime (ex: crimes against people or theft), Send background check to Jen Reiner for Review
  • When in doubt send to Jen Reiner for review! We are very responsive and will work quickly when we see a background check question come through!

Orientation:
  • Dierbergs CK Temporary Associate Orientation Info/Checklist
    • This is the template we have previously uses with other agencies. I left it in word doc form so you can edit and add in your contact info.
    • Couple things to note: The Hep A sign off is optional for you to use, and editable. So long as you ensure that Associates follow the Hep A shot policy set forth in that section and that you can provide record when requested by ask, by all means implement what you need to for agreement
    • The Boots/Fob – See this section… this is a tad different then what we discussed in our initial meeting as far as the deduction process
  • We currently have a PPT that, facilitated takes about 15-20 mins. We are turning that into a video for you to play during orientation of your Associates.
  • Lastly, we will have a representative on our side, Jason Rose, work with your team to walk through the flow and needs to get an Associate started (orientation video, lockers, boots, etc.)
