Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research using various legal databases and resources.
- Draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement documents
- Requesting and Organizing Medical Records
- Prepare and organize legal exhibits for trial.
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, trial preparation, and trial support.
- Manage and maintain client files electronically and in paper format.
- Degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred or other related field of study/ equivalent work experience in a comparable role.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paralegal or in a related legal role.
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
- Experience with billing hours and Worker's Compensation is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as proficiency in, or ability to learn, a variety of technology platforms, including Adobe and PerfectLaw
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of specific legal practice area (e.g., work comp./ insurance defense)
