Job Description: The Renewables Controls (PPC) Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, and testing of various Controls or Power Plant Controller (PPC) projects. They will be responsible for working with the client on various aspects of the Control Design for wind, solar, BESS, and hybrid projects. Responsibilities: • Design PPC systems for wind, solar, BESS, and hybrid projects • Develop control narratives based on the ISO region, TSO, and local requirements for each project • Provides ongoing PPC support for new and existing projects, including on-site support as needed • Design and develop PPC code, control narrative, and screens (for the RTAC or PLC as required) for renewable energy projects • Holds or attends regular design meetings to collaborate with clients • Program SEL RTACs or other PLCs for renewable sites • Develop, test, and tune power plant controllers (PPCs) for renewable sites • Provide technical support to the project team during installation and commissioning • Work with other project team members collaboratively Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field • 3+ years of experience with PPC and control narratives • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and other computer software • Experience with SEL RTAC or other comparable RTUs • Proficiency in HMI software development tools such as Ignition preferred • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Minimum 25-50% travel domestically
