About the Job:
- Client-based projects - wide range with different technical needs depending on the client and project. Cultivates flexible mindset.
- Projects include:
- PLC Programming
- PDI Loops and Process Controls
- Simulated I/O and acceptance testing Responsible for assigned aspects of a project including documentation, programming, simulation, testing, and commissioning support.
- Lots of Technical writing and Documentation (about 40% of job) including testing plan creation
- Designing & Configuring HMI Screens
- Read and modify system architecture, wiring, and panel drawings.
- PC hardware and software maintenance.
- Basic panel design and specification of components.
- The ability to learn and apply basic SCADA application development using InTouch, RSView, and other software toolsets
- Plans and coordinates parts of technical design and engineering implementation of project work.
- A BS in technical field (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering). CS majors are sometimes OK if their school didn't have automation. From Client: "driving factor is people that like to make things work"
- Validation is end cap Nice. Validation People know "what" but no front end.
- 35 years experience in Biotech, Pharmaceutical, or Specialty Chemical Industries is desired.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- IMPORTANT: This position requires technical expertise and the ability to perform tasks from scratch with little to no training or help. Technologies vary based on client needs please see attached Excel Doc
Team Size: 22+ Trying to double headcount in the next year or so
Work type + Travel:
- Fully Remote w/ Heavy Travel
- This position requires approximately 50%+ travel depending on the project, including air travel, across the US, and potentially international travel. (Valid driver’s license and passport required. Cannot appear on the US FDA Debarred Individuals List.)
- Client travel simulated I/O and acceptance testing, 5-6 weeks of projects for installations - onsite for 10 days. back a few, back onsite for few days
- If personal events they can fly you back for those if during onsite trips

- Target or Avoid – the coasts largest integrators - Mangen and
- No Pharma manufactures No Vaccines - no CMOs (catalent, triRX) - skid based.
- Some luck with bigger AE Firms (Burns, CRB, (usually only at Jr Level), Huffman)
