Responsibilities:
Perform Laboratory Procedures: Follow established procedures for specimen handling, processing, testing, result reporting, and record keeping.
- Maintain Quality Control: Monitor test analysis and specimen examinations to ensure quality standards are met, perform routine and complex laboratory procedures, and maintain competency in all assigned tests.
- Ensure Equipment Performance: Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments, troubleshoot issues, and document corrective actions when necessary.
- Comply with Safety and Regulatory Standards: Adhere to safety protocols for handling biohazardous materials, participate in regulatory inspections, and follow proper disposal procedures for waste.
- Technical Proficiency: Possesses the necessary technical skills and knowledge to perform job duties effectively.
- Background: At least 2 years of experience in this role or a similar role
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Quality Focus: Dedicated to accuracy, thoroughness, and quality assurance in all work.
- Decision-Making Skills: Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems effectively.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
- Certification: Required certification in relevant specialty
